He Said, She Said

Me: Help me think of a name for a house blog. I keep writing all these long winded message board posts for 100 online friends and they are probably sick of my monologues. I'd like to sicken the entire planet instead. The name needs to sound DIY-ey and I'd like it to also be a bit self-depracating and make fun of our stupid mint siding. What about "Unfortunate Mint Siding"?

He: Ugh, what a waste of time. Why are you telling them all this stuff. I'm a private person. This is a waste. Ugh, why?

Me: I wasn't asking permission. I just want you to think of a name. I can do what I want. I want to share with my mom, your mom, and strangers because I'm home alone all day doing all this work in a void. I want to pretend someone cares.

He: Ugh, whatever. How about "Mint Chipped Paint" or "Mint Chipped House"

Me: Oooh. Good thinking. Keep it coming.

He: Oh I have one you'll love "Mint Century Modern".

Me: PERFECT!

So now I have a house blog. Here is our big, new, old mid-century ranch with Mint Chipped Siding that used to be modern... and then in the 90s somebody ruined it with things from a 90s nursing home.... and now we are trying to make it retro/modern/cool again.

In 30 years someone will buy my house and start a blog about all the stupid shit we did to the house and how we totally wrecked it and they will return it to 1992 chic... but until then....
